About the artist

For the past fifteen years Ian Tornay has painted landscapes in rural north eastern Pennsylvania often returning to the same view for years at a time. Most recently he has been painting in the Northern Kingdom of Vermont. His paintings, created from direct observation, emphasize fluid and energetic brushwork.
